Rachel Abba
Chartered Legal Executive
Rachel works in the medical negligence department based at the Grimsby office and her supervisor is Lorraine Taylor. Within her case load she deals with a wide range of claims ranging from minor injuries to serious psychological injuries, fatal cases and catastrophic birth injury cases. Rachel has worked for Bridge McFarland LLP for over 25 years joining as an assistant in the personal injury department in Grimsby in 1997. However, most of her time with the firm has been within the medical negligence department (over 20 years). After undertaking CILEx qualifications she qualified as a Legal Executive in 2013, gaining fellowship status shortly thereafter and her title is now Chartered Legal Executive. Prior to this Rachel had obtained a Degree in Music and Education. After working within the department for so long Rachel understands the need for clients to not only obtain monetary compensation for injuries, but to also get answers and explanations as to what has happened to them and strives to do this for each client she acts for. In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing the violin and piano and travelling. She is Vice Chair of the Bradley Youth Festival based in Grimsby. She is also involved in charity fund raising, specifically for Epilepsy Research UK – a cause very close to her.
