Amazing
Back in 2018 my wife & I suddenly found ourselves entering the murky waters of private family law, we needed to obtain a special guardianship order for three children, we had previously used another firm before finding Henry Hyams & tbh it was a complete shambles.
By the time we had a meeting with Lloyd Bergen at HH our stress levels where at breaking point, we felt truly alone in trying to navigate a completely unfamiliar system, we needed someone to not just advocate for the children but also to speak to us in plain English.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Henry Hyams or Lloyd Bergen however I personally owe my sanity to Lisa Turner an amazingly paralegal at HH, it was Lisa who stopped court hearings being cancelled at the last minute due to birth parents playing the system, it was Lisa’s calm manner, her use of simple language to explain complex legalities to us & her high degree of professionalism.
Lisa Turner is Henry Hyams secret weapon, solicitors, barristers etc are so used to dealing with these complex stressful & often heartbreaking situations that occasionally they can forget that as layman we aren’t, Lisa adds the human touch (if you understand what I mean) she took the time over the last 5 years, first with the SGO, then changing the contact arrangements & then finally in seeking an adoption order, to ensure we understood what we needed to do, in why it needed to be done & then when we needed someone to advocate for us with the court themselves she again went to bat for us, just knowing that she was there to help, support & explain it made me less anxious & kept me calm. At no point did we feel like HH just wanted our money & that was due in no small part to Lisa, whilst of course the fact that Lloyd always got the job done didn’t hurt either.
After having an absolute nightmare with the first solicitor we used, I get how important it is to have complete faith & trust in your legal team, something we certainly felt about the team at Henry Hyams.
Many thanks for everything you guys achieved for our family, I sincerely hope we won’t ever need legal representation again although if we do, we’ll know exactly where to go!
