Patrick has huge experience and expertise in litigation, commercial property matters and family law after qualifying in 1984. His robust and tenacious approach makes him a powerful opponent in any litigious matter. Patrick has dealt with a number of very high value claims and complex partnership and business disputes. Patrick’s wealth of experience is invaluable in advising clients. Patrick also has a PhD in Law and has taught at the University of Manchester for many years, teaching both family law, land law, jurisprudence and insurance law. He has co-written the Family Law Textbook which students rely on and his links with the university mean that we often have students from all over the world undertaking work experience. Patrick lives in Wilmslow and when he is not working he enjoys spending time on his canal boat, gardening and walking. Patrick found gardening particularly helpful during lockdown and with his generosity and kindness, he is often referred to as 'Uncle Pat'.
