Penny has practised as a Family Lawyer since 1980. She was a partner with Armitage Sykes & Hinchcliffe in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, until 1994 when she moved back to her native Midlands to marry Mike Gordon. Penny Raby & Co. was set up in 1995 in Pershore, Worcestershire. She has appeared on television and radio on behalf of local and national Law Societies in Yorkshire and Worcestershire. She was the first Lady President of Worcestershire Law Society in 1995/96 and served a second term as President in 2003/04. She is currently Chair of the National Sole Practitioners’ Group for solicitors. She is a member of Resolution, the national family Lawyers’ Association, and has served as President of the West Yorkshire and Worcestershire committees. Penny enjoys reading and country walking and is a Church Warden at St. Mary’s Wick. She also enjoys performing the mini pantomime (Snow White & The Seven Small Business People and variations thereupon!) she devised with Mike Gordon, which they have toured internationally, for networking, charity, and family occasions.

When Only The Best Will Do
Penny came highly recommended from a Barrister friend of my Daughter. From the day I met her I knew she was going to be on my side, helping alleviate the stress that Divorce brings with a kind, approachable, friendly but professional manner.
She was always honest, explained the process and never wavered from her initial goal. Having her Husband Mike Gordon within the practice was another benefit, everything kept in house helping communication flow.
My personal experience was never going to be easy, she was up against a difficult and challenging situation. She never lost focus, always working towards the end result which is what truly counts. Penny and her team delivered a Divorce settlement that was everything she promised from day one, she is not only tenacious but relentless in protecting her client.
I highly recommend the practise as they work together as one, fully supportive in their dedication to allow you the Client to feel they have your back. I was told she was the best, I was not disappointed.

Divorce
Absolutely fantastic team of professional lawyers, after being let down time after time by HCB solicitors I got recommended Penny and her team enough. They mad my divorce quick and smooth talked me through everything kept me informed and I would definitely use them again.

In safe hands
In a time when you need help guidance and support, Penny and her team are there every step of the way. From the first meeting I felt in safe hands with my personal circumstances taken into consideration. During an emotional time Penny showed kindness and caring while navigating the best possible result she could for me and my family. Even with challenges that arose along the journey Penny and Mike reassured and negotiated with professionalism. I would recommend them to anyone.

Evaluation of performance
I thoroughly enjoyed using Penny Raby and Co and would certainly use them again in the future.
The only slight disappointment was that on occasion ,the correspondence had to be corrected and the mistakes were repeated more than once.
Also,I did feel that I had to chase up a response and repeated phone calls were needed to obtain the relevant information.

Divorce is never easy.
I was recommended to Penny Raby & Co by a friend who had gone through a fairly acrimonious divorce. He said they were not cheap but they got him a much better settlement than he expected.
My own circumstances were somewhat different but I believe in the old adage, "you get what you pay for" and so I instructed Penny and Mike Raby to act on my behalf. They were very professional throughout and in the end we didn't have to go to court as an amicable settlement was reach between both parties

Excellent advice and service
I was having to deal with an awkward and stressful divorce case and upon the advice of a close friend I was encouraged to change my solicitors, which I did and switched to Penny Raby & Co....and I am so pleased that I did. Penny Raby & Co have a great team and took much of the legal burden off my shoulders and guided me through the process. The eventual outcome was as good as I could have hoped for, much of this due to Penny's experience, guidance, and the way in which she handled the case.
