I lead the wills, trusts and probate team in our Colchester office. I am always available for my clients and pride myself on providing a common sense approach to any situation. I am based in our Colchester office, and am available for a free 15 minute chat over the phone on 01206 217611. My specialist areas are technical probate matters, tax planning and trusts. I am a Notary Public, of which there are only a handful in Essex. Throughout my training to become a solicitor, I wanted to specialise in commercial and corporate law. The draw of the big business and big figures always seemed attractive. However, upon qualification, I had the opportunity to try the field of private client when I covered a period of maternity leave in the Wills, Trusts and Probate team. It did not take long for me to have a change of direction. Big business may be appealing, but there is nothing as satisfying as helping individuals overcome the legal hurdles that are often placed before them. The sense of achievement is far greater. I act as an honorary legal adviser to local charities. The queries I receive can be very diverse and challenging, but being able to help at this level is very rewarding. As a father of two children under five, I am usually kept busy with them. However, I am a keen Kayaker and enjoy spending time out on the river.
