I am a Solicitor in the Immigration and Public Law Departments at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. I work with a team of solicitors, trainees and caseworkers under the supervision of Director Rohena Wallace. I have day-to-day handling and case progression on a wide range of Immigration, Asylum and Human Rights matters. These include both publicly funded and private cases. I have experience in matters involving statelessness, unaccompanied asylum seeking children, victims of trafficking and modern slavery, victims of torture, victims of sexual abuse, victims of gender-based violence, appealing asylum decisions at the Tribunals, requests to revoke deportations and other various private immigration matters. I also have experience in cases involving the Home Office Windrush scheme. I work on complex deportation appeal matters, one where Kings Counsel is instructed. I also have experience in Public Law matters. These include challenges against the Secretary of State for the Home Department concerning issues such as unlawful detention, removals on asylum and human rights grounds, challenging Fresh Claim Asylum Decisions and other challenges. I also have experience in civil claims for damages, including false imprisonment and Human Rights Act claims. I am accredited as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker under the Law Society's Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme meaning I have demonstrated the desired level of expertise and experience in this area of law as specified by the Law Society.
