As representatives of the Hackney Carriage taxi drivers in the borough, we hired W. Davies Solicitors to deal with the legal side of a long-overdue fare review.
Despite resolute opposition to any kind of increase by the council licensing department - just a few months later, we were granted the increase we sought … far exceeding all expectations !

It is our�association with Freddie, where my greatest admiration lies, and where I have learned the most. Freddie has remained a constant, in all aspects of our dealings over the last eight years of our case.� He has been a source of energy, motivation, and inspiration. He has endured the bleakest of days with us, and seen me at my lowest during the David and Goliath battle we fought, and the thousands of hours spent on the phone (I exaggerate NOT). Without his tireless effort and unwavering support, we would have long since burned out. Freddie has provided a level of support and dedication to the task at hand, whatever direction it took us, and it took us into some pretty dark places, at very unsociable times of the day and night. His support was continuous, regardless of his other work commitments, and the pressure of running his own business. Over the eight years there was not one phone call or email that went unanswered, either immediately or as promptly as time would allow. The situation that led us to W Davies and Freddie is not one we did wish upon ourselves. However, a positive I can take with me, is that I am confident Freddie�s attitude to business and life in general, together with an unwavering moral compass, has inspired me to be a better person, in all I do.�
