Sills and Betteridge's Family Department were absolutely outstanding in supporting me throughout my case. Jessica Firth-Brown's team in particular went above and beyond on numerous occasions to ensure that I received all the help I required, which ultimately led to my three children now living with me.
If you're scrolling through Google like I was in desperation trying to find a solicitor who will help you as much as possible, you'd do well to give them a call!

Great Family Solicitor
Massive thank you to Jessica and her team during a very tricky period for myself. She was brilliant with her writing & expertise.
Jessica also great with getting me fully prepared for Family court with all the relevant information needed for my case.

Excellent, life changing experience
Nobody can prepare you for the impact of being thrown into the family court process. Before being represented by Jessica and her team at Sills & Betteridge, I felt petrified and completely out of my depth.
Whilst of course, the knowledge and experience offered by Jessica was second to none, I have to highlight the importance the support had on my well-being overall. I can’t even begin to describe the difference this has made to me, and whilst the situation was one of the worst things I’ve ever experienced, my representation by Jessica, made me feel safe and confident, two feelings I’ve not experienced in a very long time.
I absolutely would not have made it to the position I am in now without that. I mean it when I say, it’s not just about the court order in my favour, but the confidence I have gained in myself and the strength I now have to continue to be the best mother living for my daughter’s best interest, I have my life back and that I am finally free, as a result of Jessica and the teams hard work, excellent communication, understanding and empathy. Everything within the process felt well handled, and completed with the highest care. I never had to chase or felt like I was unclear on proceedings from start to finish. This firm cares for its clients and I would highly recommend to anyone going through family courts, you won’t ever feel alone if you instruct Jessica.

Highly recommend, extremely professional & empathetic

I felt seen and heard for the first time in 5 years
When I walked into sills & betteridge to meet Jessica, I felt sick with fear.
For 5 years I had been going through the family court system with the father of my children. He had always been believed and I felt powerless to protect my children.
Jessica, made me feel at ease during our 1 hour meeting. She helped me realise I could trust the legal system.
She sat and listened to me dredge up my fears and then supported me with forming a statement for the courts.
She supported me to find a wonderful barrister to represent me.
Jessica was on hand via email when I had any questions and answered them swiftly and professionally.
Before I went to sills & betteridge, I had no trust in family law.
Today, I would say to anyone in a similar situation, reach out to sills and betteridge, you won’t find a

Fantastic servicd

Outstanding service
Jessica has been absolutely amazing from start to finish. I cannot thank her and her team enough for the rigorous, conscientious hard work required for such a complex case. Truly amazing Solicitor!
Words can’t describe how I feel about how Jessica and her team has helped me and my children, she is truly out of this world! She was recommended to me by one of her colleagues that was representing me on a different matter regarding a previous firm I was using that gave me poor advice which ended up with a day in court. From the moment Jessica made contact with me and we spoke about my case I could feel a big difference in the professionalism between her and my previous solicitor, and instantly felt more confident with Jessica representing me. From the start of the proceedings and throughout she was honest, professional, gave the best possible advice, explained everything clearly and kept me reassured. Ultimately, she ensured that I got the best possible outcome on the day of the final hearing with the hard work that she had put into my case, which was certainly not a straightforward case! I really can’t recommend Jessica enough, I really don’t believe that there is anyone that can compete with her and her extensive knowledge and experience of family law. She has ended a 2 year nightmare and now me and my children are finally getting the quality time we have wanted, for this I will always remember that Jessica made this possible and me and my children will always be eternally grateful.

Child arrangements
I have no hesitation in recommending Jessica Firth Brown, Anna Povada and everyone who has helped during my very lengthy case (including the reception staff who supported me recently) I don't know how I would have got through the last 4 years without you all.
I am so grateful for Jessica's direction and very clear instructions, belief and strength during the case. I know that they always had our child (children) as the main focus and stopped many of the battles that were not relevant to the case.
I had 100% confidence in Jessica's handling of the entire process and would always use her again if required.
I would also like to mention Sarah Rowe, who held the case for a few months and also did an excellent job in Jessica's absence.

Excellent service
At a hard time in your life you really do need the support of a professional, compassionate and fierce team. Everything was explained step by step and they was always ready to answer my questions, overall they turned a bad situation into a positive outcome and we will be eternally great full for all their hard work.
