Tom has 35 years of experience helping clients, both corporate and individual, to put in place effective strategies to win cases. He deals with a broad range of contentious probate, property, commercial, professional negligence, insolvency and employment disputes throughout the courts and tribunals systems. Tom has a particular expertise in trust and probate disputes. He has been responsible for many cases involving the validity and rectification of wills and trust documents, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975, disputes involving the removal of executors and trustees and claims arising from the administration of estates and trusts. He is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Tom has a proactive approach to dispute resolution and provides practical and pragmatic advice to clients aimed at achieving successful outcomes at the earliest opportunity. He has more than 3 decades experience conducting litigation at all levels of the judicial system. He has also conducted scores of mediations and other forms of alternative dispute resolution during his career. He has been involved in many cases where it has been necessary to obtain interim relief, by, for instance, securing freezing injunctions and asset disclosure orders. His approach is robust, and forceful whenever required, and at all times focused on delivering a timely and satisfactory resolution to his clients’ disputes.
