Helping people through what is often the most difficult time of their life and seeing them come out the other side, is why I have practised exclusively in family law since 2003. I can be a part of someone’s life for just a matter of hours to sometimes years, but the effects of what they are going through could last their entire life. I aim to empower my clients to make informed choices that will enable them to move on positively, particularly when they have children to consider. I work with a range of people, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, medical professionals and senior managers, or their spouses. I provide strategic advice to those embarking on a relationship, or those who are already in one, to protect their wealth and position, which includes drafting nuptial and cohabitation agreements. I am regularly instructed by deputies on such matters when looking after the interests of individuals lacking mental capacity. Other specialisms include divorce and associated financial matters, in addition to property disputes for unmarried couples. I also act in many complex cases concerning the arrangements for children. These include where there have been allegations of parental alienation and abuse as well as surrogacy, matters of fertility law, donor conceived children, and disputes arising out of such arrangements. I am a member of Resolution; an organisation for family lawyers who are keen to promote a constructive approach to family law issues and consider the needs of the whole family. I am committed to achieving the best outcome for my clients and have an eye for detail, but never lose sight of the bigger picture. My strength is in providing clear and realistic advice and I have been recommended by the Legal 500 for many years, where they reported that clients describe me as ‘professional and experienced with a sensible and pragmatic approach’. Outside work, I enjoy the theatre, travelling, restaurants and most importantly, spending time with family and friends.
