Emily Unsworth
Solicitor
Emily joined Wolferstans in July 2019 after completing her Law Degree with the University of Plymouth. Emily worked as a Paralegal in our Care Team, helping fee earners to represent clients involved in Children Act Proceedings. Emily was also responsible for representing her own clients during Public Law Outline Meetings.
During her time as a paralegal Emily studied her Legal Practice Course at the University of Exeter. Emily completed her Legal Practice Course and Masters in August 2021 and began her Solicitors training with us in September 2021.
During her two-year training period, Emily gained experience in Public and Private Family Law, Court of Protection and Medical Negligence. In each of these specialisms Emily assisted the heads of department, working on complex matters whilst continuing to be responsible for her own case load.
Emily qualified as a Solicitor in September 2023 and now works exclusively in our Family department. Emily has a mixed case load, predominantly specialising in Divorce, Financial Remedy, Domestic Abuse, and all aspects of Care proceedings.
Emily feels passionately about helping her clients to navigate sensitive topics and decisions and utilises her natural empathy and training to guide her clients through the Family Court process.
Emily works hard to achieve desirable outcomes for her clients.
In her spare time Emily enjoys going to the gym, reading, and exploring the South West.
