I am an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and joined the firm in 1982 (when it was Hooper & Wollen) having previously worked with a local law firm in Totnes. I am part of our Elder Client Team within the Private Client Department managing clients personal affairs under Powers of Attorney and deputyships, creating Lasting Powers of Attorney, and in addition I deal with tax affairs (income tax, CGT, self-employment tax). My main interest away from work is in local theatre, where I am heavily involved as a performer and as a director, staging major musicals and pantomimes at various local venues including the Princess Theatre, and I am also the South Devon representative for the National Operatic and Dramatic Association and Secretary of both Toads Stage Musical Co and Paignton Pantomime Productions.

North Devon legal services provided by Wollens
We found the response of all Wollens staff that we spoke to helpful and professional and the registration of the document required, an EPA, went smoothly and without a hitch. Although the registration process itself took some time, this was not the responsibility of Wollens themselves.

Family / Probate matters
We were initially introduced to and met Charlotte McGregor in respect of Probate and LPA matters for a family member in October 2019. Iain Douglas was then involved in the day to day handling of matters and we dealt mainly with him. We were advised of updates and additional benefits sought for our sister in law to increase her income. We are currently now involved with Ryan Grffiths who is handling Probate and estate winding up for our sister in law who passed away in September 2023. Charlotte McGregor is Executor and has LPA .
During all this time and continuing the service and advice received has been excellent. Our dealings with Wollens have been due to family bereavements and throughout have found everyone to be extremely helpful and considerate. Charlotte attended the funeral in October this year which we felt was extremely kind and much appreciated. Cannot compliment them all enough and would highly recommend.
