Alex qualified as a solicitor in 2007. With experience in multi-disciplinary regional firms, Alex has been building and growing a client base in London since 2010. Specialising in dispute resolution, Alex's practice is rooted in the fields of civil, property and employment matters. When involved in this contentious work, Alex also conducts most of his own advocacy meaning that his clients' cases are given his attention from start to finish, and that he is always up-to-date on the current 'trends' of the Court and Tribunals. Alex also has substantial experience in commercial property, both in non-contentious transactions and when property forms the subject of a dispute. Alex therefore assists clients in commercial and residential property matters alike, with his 'poacher-turned-gamekeeper' approach in these matters proving very useful. Alex's personal aim is to focus on the individual client's needs, whether they are a sole employer or employee; a divorcing spouse, or the spearhead of a much larger organisation – on each occasion he aims to assist in a personal and digestible fashion. Alex has an LLB in Business Law from Bournemouth University Law School and is a current member of the London Litigation Solicitors Association; Employment Lawyers Association; is an active member of BNI; the City of London Law Society and the City of London Solicitors Company. Outside of his legal career, Alex has an interest in the military and leads adventurous team expeditions worldwide.

I first had Jamieson Alexander and Ben Colenutt recommended to me by a friend when I was looking to extend the Lease on my Residential Flat and negotiations with the Freeholders to do so outside of the 1993 Act had broken down irretrievably due to their intransigence in wanting new unreasonable levels of multiplying Ground Rents.
The time came to exercise my right to extend within the 1993 Act and all the benefits that brings. Ben was a godsend, metaphorically holding my hand at every stage, giving superlative advice, and always acting extremely promptly. The service I received ended up surpassing all expectations. Ben (specifically at my request) suggested a few Valuation Surveyors I might approach, and I independently chose one best suited to me after enquiring on their fees and services.
When the Freeholder’s Solicitor made frankly unreasonable requests, Ben promptly countered each one within the Law, acting protectively of my position. The end result was a Lease Extension I frankly worried about at every stage but in hindsight did not need to worry about as Ben was so good. The extended Lease I ended up with was really of a Gold Star nature for me, and future owners of that Lease.
I was so happy as a result that when a neighbouring Leaseholder asked me about extending her Lease too, I pointed her straight in Ben’s direction where he achieved (I believe) the same results – she too is extremely happy with Ben.
When the time then came to put the Flat on the market to sell, it was a “no brainer” for me – I had to come to Jamieson Alexander for my Conveyancing, and this is where I encountered Angela Morreale. Life has sadly taught me to be a distrusting individual initially, but it didn’t take too long for Angela to totally win me over by her work. I may not have always believed it at first, but at every stage Angela’s advice proved bang-on correct. We had many a troubled moment with two failed sales (prospective Buyers acting “not within the rules of Cricket”), but in hindsight (again!) I shouldn’t have fretted as much. Angela was always there acting promptly for me, and (like Ben beforehand) acting in my best interests and metaphorically holding my hand right through to a successful Completion. Angela will be my first port of call for the Conveyancing in any future Property transactions, buying or selling.
At every stage in both cases, all other members of Jamieson Alexander staff I dealt with were courteous and polite and totally professional and ethical in their dealings. Alex Pappin and Ben Colenutt and Angela Morreale have a team to be proud of.
Based on my experiences, I unreservedly recommend Jamieson Alexander to anyone seeking an excellent Legal firm to act for them. The fees may not always be the cheapest, but I have no regrets as the quality of service provided is more than worth that bit extra.

Legal Team goes above and beyond...
There are law firms and there are law firms. We may not be the most regular client, however it always feels good when you know your legal team have your back. It was busy summer and we forgot to submit company confirmation statement. Within a short space of time, we had calls and emails from Jamieson Alexander reminding us to take action, which they then took care of for us. Little did we know they offer this type of service to their clients on a regular basis.

Dear Dee, Unfortunately, we can locate no record of you being a client of the firm. Indeed, we note your location in South Africa, whereas we only practice in England & Wales. Please contact us directly as a matter of urgency, as we take all genuine client complaints very seriously.

Jamieson Alexander made large errors in work, costing me >50k!
This law firm messed up an important case I gave them and added tens of thousands of pounds of extra costs on my cases, I moved over to a new firm that fixed the work for a fraction of what I'd been paying Jamieson Alexander. Avoid!

Recent property remortgage.
The quality of personal and professional service throughout was superb.
Alex and Georgina were an absolute pleasure to deal with and were in constant contact throughout the process even meeting me out of office to sign documents at my convenience.
Would thoroughly recommend.
