Julie first joined W&AS Bruce in 2004 after gaining her certificate in Conveyancing Practice from Strathclyde Law School. After six years away, she re-joined us in 2014. Julie has worked in the legal sector for over 25 years so is highly knowledgeable and experienced, and a respected member of the company. Julie is now based in our Burntisland office as a Paralegal in our busy and demanding Conveyancing Department carrying out all aspects of conveyancing including sales, purchases, re-mortgages and discharges. She was also one of the first to be invited to join The Law Society’s Registered Paralegal Scheme at its inception and is a member of the Scottish Paralegal Association. Julie has been married for over 30 years and describes herself as unflappable and humorous…which is perhaps her secret to such a long marriage!

Brilliant experience from start to finish

Julie has been exceptional - knowledgeable, experienced, skilled, friendly, approachable and has genuinely taken the stress out of the conveyancing part of buying and selling houses as we have been able to trust her explicitly. Can’t recommend highly enough.

I had a fantastic experience with Julie Barbour at W&AS Bruce who guided me through all the buying and selling conveyancing of my house and new home purchase. Nothing was too much trouble and I always got a prompt response to any query. I cannot recommend Julie highly enough and not only was she exceptional at her job, she had a great sense of humour and made a stressful time relaxing and offered great advice and reassurance at all times. Cannot recommend W&AS Bruce Conveyancing service enough. Approaching, quick to respond and always had my interests at heart. Made moving house far less stressful and wouldn't hesitate to use their services again in the future.
