Updating a will

5

I gained a first appointment quickly and was able to talk in depth about what I wanted to do to alter my will.
There was no time pressure whilst we discussed all the relevant points.
I was given sound advice throughout and issued that I had not thought about were highlighted to me which was very helpful.
It made me feel confident with both the process and the outcome.
A draft was sent to me very soon after for me to review.
My second appointment was as successful as my first and the terms of the will were finalised. There was great attention to details thought the process.
I felt very satisfied that I was enabled to write the best will I could draw with expert
and caring help.
After the experience, I felt confident that I had found the right firm to help me with any future legal matters.

Experience of Solicitors Cramp and Mullaney

5

I have always found the solicitors very helpful, considerate, and informative whenever it has been necessary to consult them.
They were particularly helpful when dealing with the probate of my late husband’s will.
Whoever I dealt with always showed patience when I needed clarification of any matter.

Excellent Solicitor

Extremely sound advice and most efficiently dealt with by Rachel Shepherd at Cramp & Mullaney LLP. Would have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending Rachel. Got to grips immediately with the nub of the problem, paid so much attention to the small detail, and went all out for quick completion. Rachel will aspire to great heights in her chosen profession.

Margaret taylors probate

5

We used there service to get probate through and from start to finish we had a very professional service from rachel and daniel , when ever we phoned with any questions they was answered unless they had to do some investigation to find the answer which they would do and always got back to us quickly. The price we got charged was actually less than i thought it would be especially with all the extra bits they did, we was very satisfied with the service

Billed for there mistake

1

Originally told should be about £900. To do probate But then billed over £2,500. Then when trying to sell my late mothers house another solicitor spotted that 1 of the
Executors name was incorrect so had to go back to cramp & MULLANEY to have it corrected and it took a long time to get corrected and they billed us £1200. For their mistake as they had the original will with the correct names on it and as a professional company should have spotted this major mistake. ( STEER VERY CLEAR OF THESE SOLICITORS ) Should not have charged us the second time and should have compensadted us as nearly lost the house sale due to their incompetence.

Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry to hear that you feel your experience using Cramp & Mullaney did not meet your expectations. It is difficult for us to respond to specific points raised in your review due to client confidentiality rules but we will respond where we can. At the outset of every matter we discuss with clients the various options available to them and costs associated with these in order to give a degree of flexibility to the amount of help or involvement we have and therefore it is likely a quote of £900 would have been given for far less involvement than was had. In relation to the error, you mention with an executor’s name, we are only able to proceed with an application on the basis of the personal information we are provided with and we always ask our clients to review any application to check for things such as names and spellings as we would not know the individuals who have been named throughout. In terms of any amendments, we are in the hands of the Probate Registry and unfortunately any delay in processing times is outside our control. We are sorry you do not feel your experience was a positive one, and we appreciate everyone is entitled to their opinion, however we would refer to a review left by “Dan” on 2.8.23 who is another client involved in this matter and his experience. We aim to do everything in our power to minimise the impact of this on our clients and to make the process as pain-free as it can be, however there are processes and procedures that must be followed and this can limit what we are able to do.
