Absolutely beyond poor. I have left a detailed review on another review platform. Just to say here , like other contributors, this firm is appalling. I instructed (started Jan 2023) Kevin Richardson in 4 pieces of business - 3 purchases and 1 sale. After 9 weeks of engagement we had NO contact or progress on one of these matters. Kevin Richardson did not respond to emails or phone calls. Promised many things at the outset but let us down across all four matters we had with the firm. After 10 weeks , at huge inconvenience and driven by the concern of losing a sale and a purchase due to lack of progress, I disinstructed them. I then had to instruct other solicitors at huge cost to myself (£Ks).
As well as the absent communication, unprofessional personal attitudes and, in my opinion, poor legal guidance, I found the staff terse and discourteous. I wish I had never gone near this firm but it isn't until things don't materialise that you start to see how lacking the service is. Once you're some weeks in it seems too late to change and it's difficult to weigh up the balance of whether it's best to stay in hope of improvement or jump ship. There was NO improvement!!! One's expectation is that professional lawyers will offer a satisfactory level of service. I am furious about the cost to myself (financially and stress wise)on account of the incompetence of this firm. Please be guided by the several reviews which are cautionary - the fact that there are so many speaks volumes.
Finally, this firm has been incorporated/consolidated with "Beyond Law" shortly before I wrote this review. Whatever the name on the door, the individuals (I hesitate to use the term professionals) are still the same. I was not informed when I placed my business with Richardson Law that they were being taken over - I feel this should have been so.

Appalling customer service from all staff but namely Kevin Richardson, almost 1 year on and land registry issues, missing deeds, we overpaid deposit £10k, he said he’d refund and never did, kept it for a further 2 months regardless of requesting return of funds numerous times, then slammed a hidden fee of an extra £1k on the invoice at point of completion without any discussion or explanation. The additional fee was not warranted what so ever, we disputed the charge but held captive to pay in order to complete. Very arrogant and smug attitude. 9 months later and still a stressful situation, land registry issues and impossible to obtain any communication, all calls and emails ignored by Kevin Richardson and staff. This company has been taken over by Beyond Conveyancing, unfortunately Kevin Richardson is still in the business and continues to be unprofessional and not resolve outstanding issues and ignore calls and emails.
This is only the tip of the iceberg with numerous issues and stress caused through a sale and purchase of property.
Recommend to keep a wide berth for your own health and sanity.

I had this firm do the conveyancing with my lease extension eight years ago. This was not filed with the land registry when i tried to sell my apartment it became apparent they had not completed the paperwork. I have been trying to contact the partner Kevin Richardson to sort out the mess but he refuses all my calls and emails absolutely appalling!
