I cannot find enough words to express just how grateful I am to Lisa and her team for all the support they have given me over the last incredibly challenging two years. Lisa has had to navigate her way round an extremely difficult, contentious and uncooperative counterpart, which has made what is already a stressful and emotional process even harder. Lisa has been meticulous and thorough and taken a no-nonsense approach throughout. I think it is fair to say that her skills have been tested! But not once has she wavered in her commitment in getting the best possible outcome for me. Elizabeth was absolutely wonderful in supporting me at my court hearing and helping me to get through a very difficult day. I feel I have had the best team possible in terms of support, both in regards to outstanding legal knowledge and instinctiveness, but also emotionally. Thank you so much for everything you have done. Parental responsibility case for my son
Would just like to thank Lisa again and everyone at Ellisons for making my experience in courts as relaxed and simple as it could be for me never did I feel I didn’t know what was happening or going to happen
I also would like to thank Lisa for going out of her way to keep cost down by on her own behalf splitting to work load to juniors which I really appreciated and even kept the cost under what was 1st estimated
Even down to folllow up calls it felt very genuine with Lisa so just again another big thank you and I’m now enjoying more family time with my son we both thank you

A brilliant human supporting a single dad. Knowledge A+++
After an amicable split things went very wrong and my boy was weaponised by his mother. Rejection after rejection for increase in times, or for us to plan days out / events / holidays. I started with a different company that just wasn't up-to scratch, I do not believe had the correct knowledge, passion or practical approach.
I made the change to Lisa with strict instructions that we were to maintain our integrity and dignity at all times, leave nothing to be exposed and only talk in truth. Lisa promoted this too and listened to me, I felt comfort in her approach in some very hard emotional times, her correspondence and communication skills were outstanding, at no point did she ever forget there is a little 4 year old human involved in this who may read the notes one day.
Lisa continued to keep the process on track within the scope and boundaries of what was needed rather than getting pulled around and off track while still dealing with manipulative controlling advances and poor parental emotional behaviour.
After 2.5 years of my personal battle ( 18 months with Lisa ) we visited court for the final court hearing ( the court service cancelled the first final hearing due to being over subscribed hence the lengthly patient wait) where fairness was achieved with an equal 50/50 split, holidays all sorted out ( previously was blocked ) and the magistrates even requested by court order his passport to stay with me.
The only person who won on the day unknowingly was my boy, we demonstrated equality and how nobody should ever be bullied in this way. I trusted the system and it did come through but I honestly believe you need the right people, right tone, authentic approaches, practical parental plans with justification.
Lisa absolutely nailed this from start to finish, the statements we produced were exactly how I would want to approach the situation with compassion but substance, a narrative but concise, I would never have been able to write this on my own, no chance! I cannot thank her enough, she was a lawyer, she was a friend for advice, she was a councillor at times and always made sure we did the right thing, which is incredibly important to me and how I live my life.
When Lisa was on leave her team supported me with excellent knowledge, understanding and energy. Her support staff notified me and always kept me upto date with court date bookings, barrister bookings etc. The Barrister we chose was out of this world, a down to earth human who understood the legal system and the need for fairness, her approach in court was exceptional, calmly speaking but with substance and a healthy authority to guide the process through to conclusion. I have to give Lisa credit again as her due-diligence in finding the right barrister was exceptional.
While I strongly believe Lisa is a top top professional with exceptional skills and a wealth of knowledge, she is an even better human so the balance here was exactly what we needed.
Time for my boy and myself to now make memories..... secured forever. Forever grateful.

Parental responsibility case
After starting with a bad solicitor's firm with the wrong directions , I was recommended Lisa Dawson by a good friend
Instantly Lisa corrected all the wrongs of past and got me to we’re I wanted to be very quickly and helped me threw the process not only in the courts and paper work wise but emotionally supported me allowing me not to use emotions in my case just the facts

Highly recommend

Buyer beware
Lisa was superb. I have put off submitting a review so as to give plenty of time for reflection. My one cause for feeling aggrieved was the “all inclusive” package. I would encourage seeking complete clarity as I was clearly naive to take that at face value. In fact I appeared to pay for all contacts about my divorce which quickly accrued a large sum. Buyer beware!

Response to divorce petition and settlement
A very unpleasant divorce petition and challenges agreeing what a fair settlement might look like
was swiftly addressed; tensions were professionally managed by applying legal process to
resolve toxic situation in less than 12-months. Total spent on legal input was the best investment I

Excellent service from the Family Department
Lisa and her team made an exceptionally difficult time bearable. The efforts of Ellison's ensured my son has access to his father, which would not have been possible otherwise.
