Rachel Makore
Associate - Solicitor
As an associate - solicitor in Boyes Turner’s outstanding medical negligence group, Rachel represents clients who have suffered obstetric and gynaecological injuries, Erb’s palsy, pressure sores, disability resulting from delayed diagnosis and treatment of cancer. She acts for the bereaved spouses and children of patients who have died as a result of negligent medical care. Rachel assists the group’s partners, Susan Brown and Richard Money-Kyrle, in the investigation, quantification and court work associated with high value cases involving cerebral palsy, meningitis and spinal injury. Rachel’s caring and empathetic nature was the driving force behind her decision to specialise in claimant clinical negligence work. She has a keen interest in medicine and enjoys using her skills and expertise to help her clients get back on their feet following a medical accident, guiding them through the legal process which she recognises many can find daunting and overwhelming. Rachel is an active supporter of Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA), regularly volunteering her time as a trained helpline advisor – a role she finds very rewarding. She also takes part in awareness and fundraising activities for Meningitis Now and the UK Sepsis Trust. Rachel is a member of The Law Society and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
