I recently made a will with the help of Mr Mark Goodson and his staff at BTMK Solicitors in Leigh-on-Sea. I was delighted with the patient and knowledgeable service I received from everyone concerned. I was very nervous to start with as the will was always going to be quite complicated but Mr Goodson put my wife and I at our ease whilst explaining all the different facets and tax angles that I did not have a clue even existed. I have no hesitation in recommending Mark Goodson and BTMK Solicitors for their sheer professionalism.

Estate/probate
It was a complicated Estate with assets across several countries, but Mark and Megan (with whom I dealt primarily) took this all in their stride, seeking outside expertise as necessary, eg other country legal and tax issues, bringing everything to a satisfactory conclusion, with minimum stress or worry to myself. They were a pleasure to deal with, and always available to offer sensible advice or guidance.
Partway through this Estate work, because I was happy with the service being provided, I engaged Mark to rewrite my will and also to prepare Lasting Powers of Attorney for myself and my father. Again, this work was handled quickly and efficiently, with minimum effort necessary by myself!

Grant of Probate
BTMK acted for us in obtain the Grant of Probate. Mark Goodson handed us over to Megan McKinlay senior case worker. They acted completely professionally and kept us advised every step of the way. We would have no hesitation in recommending BTMK they were excellent throughout. We would also like to state that we also used their sister company in Southend for the conveyancing for the probate property concerned.

BTMK have been amazing
BTMK and especially Mark Goodson and Megan McKinlay have been truly wonderful dealing with my fathers will, estate and probate. Making the whole process as painless as possible at such a sensitive time. Megan, our caseworker, was extremely helpful handling the whole process making sure every T was crossed and I was dotted.
If ever you need professional advice these are the people to see.

Mark is very knowledgeable and delivers this with a very friendly, personable, pragmatic and helpful approach to what could be a complicated and daunting legal process.

Dear Mark, thank you so much for your kindness in making a generous phone call, which immediately explained so much to me that had previously been confusing and worrying.
I had read articles and heard discussions on the possibilities of providing help for my children, who like so many younger people have to struggle to meet the demands of modern life but so much of this advice was incomplete or conflicting. I am so so grateful for your ‘chat’ which was full of clarity and valuable information and also full of understanding to somebody without the grasp of financial matters can be quite fearful of making a disastrous wrong move. I took rough notes, which I am going to copy out carefully and if you haven’t already, I think you should write a book. You have your family’s kindness which is immensely reassuring.
