The service provided was absolutely exceptional and if you’re looking for a solicitor who goes above and beyond, look no further! From day one the communication was amazing, always available to answer any questions and addressed any concerns I had with a calming manner making the process totally stress free. Amazing! Would highly recommend and will using again!
As first-time buyers, my partner and I were understandably nervous about the process of buying our first home, but working with Matthew and his assistant, Ella, has made all the difference. Our broker recommended Matthew to us, and I’m so, so glad we followed that advice!
From start to finish, Matthew and Ella were incredible. They kept us fully updated throughout every step, guiding us patiently through the whole process and taking the time to answer all our questions, no matter how small. Incredibly, we completed within 10 weeks of putting in our offer—something I never thought would happen so smoothly. It’s clear that Matthew and Ella work tirelessly for their clients, and despite their busy schedules, we always felt we had their full attention.
I honestly cannot thank them both enough for their hard work, efficiency, and kindness. I’ll absolutely be using them for any future needs and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a solicitor. Thank you both for making our first home purchase such a positive experience!

Excellent service from Ella and Caroline at Butcher & Barlow, Bramhall
How refreshing to deal with Solicitors who are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, patient and very approachable. Caroline & Ella supported us through our house purchase and sale, with great professionalism and expertise. They always responded to our emails & phone calls promptly and kept us updated the whole way through. We met them both at the office to sign documentation and they were very thorough, explained everything in detail and ensured we had all the information needed before signing. We would like to thank them both for guiding us through a complicated process and for their patience in dealing with us and the endless questions, relating to the sale/purchase of our houses!

Excellent Services
We have received excellent services from Butcher & Barlow for the sale of our apartment. Everything went very smoothly and felt supported and helped all the way through in particularly dealing with those forms and enquiries. Paralegal Ella Woodier was exceptional. I can't praise her highly enough. She was patient, knowledgeable and always answered any queries promptly either on the phone or email. It was such a reassurance to have people you can reach out to when you are going through the stressful process of selling a property. We are just pleased that we are using them for the sale of our 2nd property, too. Highly recommend them!! If we could give 10 stars if we would.

House Sale
Another fantastic experience with Butcher and Barlow. Our family have used the Bramhall Solicitors for many years and the service has always been exceptional.

Efficient, professional, attentive
I used Butcher and Barlow when selling a house on behalf of an elderly parent, a situation which brought with it a certain emotional complexity. Throughout the process, Butcher and Barlow were fully sensitive to these circumstances, offered swift, unequivocal guidance and legal advice, and worked to fully accommodate my schedule as the sale progressed. The process could not have gone more smoothly: everything happened on time, I was kept full up to date with the stages of the sale, and I was regularly contacted and consulted. This was by far the best experience I've had regarding the sale of property. In particular, I was most grateful to Carol Martin and especially Ella Woodier for their professionalism, expertise, and humane good cheer -- they made a potentially stressful situation into a much calmer experience, and for that I'm particularly grateful.

Conveyancing Made Easy
Excellent service throughout. No direct dealings with the solicitor but Ella Woodier was brilliant to deal with in the conveyancing of our sale.

Residential Conveyancing
Thank you to Ella Woodier for handling the sale of our mum’s house. Ella was always friendly, helpful and supportive and kept us up to date with the progress of the sale. Fantastic service
We had Ella woodier handling our house sale and she was amazing every step of the way for us. She kept us well informed on where the sale was up to and we felt very assured that we were being well looked after. Sale of Property
Ella oversaw the sale of my mum's property and was always very helpful and supportive throughout. In the early stages of the sale there were some issues with the leasehold which took a lot of sorting with the land registry and we felt that we did have to do quite a bit of chasing on this with the solicitor assigned to this case but Ella bridged the gap for us on this and kept us updated on a regular basis. Overall though the service we received from Ella was excellent.
