After joining the New Build Property team at Herrington Carmichael in July 2017, Laura began in the completions team, moving on to the Pre Exchange team, where she ran client purchases from the point of reserving their new home to exchange of contracts. As part of her continued growth at Herrington Carmichael she is currently studying and completing her CILEx qualification, having completed level 3 in October 2022 and this gives her the ACILEx qualification.

As first time buyers using HTB, we were really nervous about the whole process. We’ve been told time and time again that solicitors are awful, they won’t respond, you’ll have to chase them etc. Well this was not our experience at all! Laura Oakley was incredible from day one, replying to emails within the day every time despite my many questions. We had an issue with having to ask for permission to keep pets in the property and she sorted this and got consent for us within days (as you can imagine this was sooo stressful for us so we were grateful for the speed she did this in!) I’ve called their offices a few times when I had questions I wanted to get sorted quickly and she (and whoever else picked up) always responded in a very friendly manner, like nothing was too much. We’ve just Exchanged and I’m hoping completion goes just as smoothly.
Couldn’t recommend Herrington Carmichael more, I truly believe our journey has been so smooth due to Laura’s commitment to helping us

Excellent conveyancing
Very approachable, friendly and reassuring. I had a bit of a nightmare as 7 were in my chain but Roisin was reassuring and didn’t get funny when I was ringing and emailing all the time.

Herrington Carmichael - by far the best for house sale and purchase
Everyone from Herrington-Carmichael who have helped us with the sale of our house and purchase of our new one have been professional, efficient but friendly and approachable.
We are in our 70s, have bought and sold a number of properties. This is far and away the best firm of solicitors we have ever met.
