I am a claimant medical negligence lawyer and lead Partner of the Grimsby medical negligence team at Bridge McFarland LLP. I have extensive experience in all types of claimant medical negligence whilst now focussing on the most catastrophic cases involving amputation, spinal and brain injuries securing some ground breaking awards for clients and their families. I am a member of the Law Society's Clinical Negligence panel and from 2017 - 2019 was an AvMA accredited expert.
I have developed a significant claimant medical negligence practice with a particular expertise in fatal cases. As a consequence of that work I have represented many families at inquest and have been involved in cases where human rights matters arise.
I have also succeeded on an unreported secondary victim claim for both parents of a minor who was injured and died at birth and have worked on cases where jurisdiction and applicable law are in issue.
I am creator of medicalnegligence.co.uk; a website owned and operated by Bridge McFarland LLP and a committee member of the Lincolnshire Cerebral Palsy Society. I manage all aspects of business development / marketing for the department and also lead on the training / mentoring of trainee solicitors within the Medical Negligence team and have also mentored law students as part of the Career Academies UK programme. I would like to obtain the Higher Rights of Audience Qualification in the near future.
I enjoy travelling around the world, HIIT, running and meditation. At present I am training for a half marathon with the Bridge McFarland LLP running club to raise money for Cudox Wellbeing CIC which is a local provider of counselling and psychotherapy for both adults and children. When time permits I also like to read (crime fiction) and after a long hiatus would love to get back into playing the piano and learn guitar along the way!

In February 2019 I represented the family of Linda Price (Deceased) at inquest and in relation to the subsequent medical negligence claim. In March 2019 I appeared on BBC television show Inside Out to discuss systemic failings in the NHS leading to late diagnosis and late treatment of cancer having acted for BBC presented Phil Norton in relation to the death of his late father, Graham Norton. Medical negligence
I contacted Bridge- Mcfarland in 2017 and within a week they had travelled a very long distance to my house in Kent to meet me.
I had no idea the process was going to be a long road ahead.
This was not the fault of the solicitors from start to finish.
We also hit covid which made the process longer, however with a great end result this took 6 and a half years.
Over the years I have spent many of hours on phone call's and teams meetings.
All staff had a friendly approach, gave clear advice and helped me when I am not savvy on the laptop, nothing was too much.
All the staff are very professional to a high standard, nothing is too much for them they go above and beyond to make sure their clients are well looked after.
I was given the best service and could not be any happier with having Bridge-Mcfarland to represent me.
I have to say it's going to be some what strange for our contact to come to an end.
I just want to say a huge Thank you for the hard work and determination every staff member has put in to making sure I had the outcome I so rightly deserved.
Chris and Ian you are both super stars Thank you in not enough for what you have achieved a first class service delivered.

Dental claim
