We have used Alison Bear at Birkett Long for all of our conveyancing and have always been extremely happy with her work. In our most recent sale / purchase which was at no point straight forward she was nothing short of brilliant, she kept us updated, responded to various third parties extremely quickly at what must have been an incredibly busy time for solicitors with the stamp duty holiday deadline. Purchase of Kendal Home and sale of Colchester home
We were very impressed by the courteous, friendly and easy-to-understand advice and service of Ms Alison Bear and Mr Jonathan Seldon over the purchase of 24 Castlestead Close, Kendal in the summer/autumn of 2022 and the sale of 19 Blackbrook Road, Great Horkesley, Colchester in the winter/spring of 2023. Not having dealt with house purchase for 47 years and being very unfamiliar with legal matters, Alison and Jonathan worked with us to make things clear, responded promptly and courteously to our queries in person, by letter, by telephone and by email, and generally made the whole process very smooth. Simple and professional
Selling a relative’s house I didn’t have much time to be chasing and checking, so Alison made the whole process simple easy and very time efficient
