Alison specialises in all aspects of matrimonial and family law. A graduate in German and Law, she qualified as a solicitor in 1992. She has worked exclusively in family law since then and has extensive experience in dealing with divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships, cohabitee disputes, the resolution of complex financial disputes, complex disputes relating to children and cases involving domestic abuse. She also regularly advises on pre-nuptial agreements, cohabitation and separation agreements. Being approachable and a sympathetic listener, she is committed to adopting a calm, constructive and proactive approach to the resolution of often difficult and emotionally charged disputes. She is a member of Resolution, the professional body for specialist family lawyers. She is a Resolution accredited family specialist. An experienced collaborative lawyer, she is also able to offer clients an alternative path to resolving their differences, working together with other accredited collaborative lawyers to help couples reach agreed solutions, which avoid court and minimise stress and expense.
