Isabella Gill

Trainee Solicitor

I am a Trainee Solicitor in the Child Care Department at Duncan Lewis and I am based in the firm’s City of London Office. I work under the supervision of Solicitor, Sheena Vadher and Director, Alia Lewis, in a range of Family and Children Law Proceedings. I assist parents by providing representation in Care Proceedings initiated by the Local Authority, Public Law Outline meetings (PLO), Child Protection Conferences and Private Children Law disputes. I am experienced in supporting solicitors in representing children, parents, grandparents and interveners in complex family law cases involving: Care Proceedings Adoption Proceedings International Child Abduction Non–Accidental Injury Forced Marriage Protection Orders Deprivation of Liberty Orders Secure Accommodation Orders Special Guardianship Orders Child Arrangements Orders Occupation Orders Non-molestation Orders I am experienced in dealing with vulnerable clients with highly sensitive family matters and providing assistance to them by carefully analysing evidence and advising them through the application of my knowledge of the law. Many of these cases require key consideration of cultural aspects and in depth research into the mechanisms of the jurisdictions of other countries. I am committed to delivering an excellent standard of client care in the course of all my dealings with clients, whilst approaching their matters with empathy. I work with an objective to achieve the best possible outcome for them, whilst working transparently and diligently and managing their expectations sensitively. I have in depth legal knowledge of the Children Act 1989, having extensively researched its statutory provisions. My team and I specialise in cases involving hidden disabilities, such as Autism and ADHD. We are working with an aim to tackle legal barriers the neurodivergent community faces within family court proceedings and dispute resolution and ensure that our clients are fully supported through their journey in the family justice system.
