She works out of our Nottingham and Peterborough offices and specialises in public and private law children cases. Kerry achieved a 2:1 in her LLB law degree from Nottingham Trent University in 2013. She then went on to complete her Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School in November 2015. For Kerry, she has always held a desire to be a solicitor and decided to specialise in family law as she finds it “more challenging, where no two cases are the same.” Kerry is keen to develop her knowledge, and regularly attends Resolution training.

I was lucky to have Kerry Avis to represent me, she was exceptional and went above and beyond from start to finish. Kerry was always very well prepared and always a step ahead. Kerry always had a positive attitude and always quick to respond to any queries I had. Kerry made me feel very comfortable and at ease attending court and I cannot thank her enough for a quick result for me and my little girl. Thank you.

I was fortunate enough to have the amazing, polite, efficient and hardworking Kerry Avis. My case was dealt with professionally and I was kept up-to-date with all information. Everything I said was listened to carefully and without Kerry I can honestly say I wouldn't have felt so reassured and confident in attending court. The service I received was incredible. They made what was a terrible situation so much easier. I felt like they all genuinely cared about me. Kerry was always available when I needed to speak to her. Tony represented me at court and was amazing, putting me at ease immediately. When he wasn’t available Kerry found a barrister that she assured me was fantastic and he was.

I have in the past had to use other solicitors who cost a great deal more but were incomparable to the service provided by kerry and her team.

After a complex family issue lasting more than 3 years I finally came to the family law group Peterborough namely Ms Kerry Avis and at last with her knowledge and professionalism the case was concluded with the best possible outcome for my son with the family court system being not only a sensitive but extremely complex arena the help of legal advocates is of paramount importance and you can't go wrong with the family law group and Ms Avis who is a credit to her profession and may I also thank Ms Charlotte Knight for her help..highly recommended.
