Nick joined Woodfines in 2012, having obtained considerable experience in employment teams at Hewitsons (1987 – 2007) where he was Head of the Firm’s Employment team, Charles Russell LLP (2007 – 2009) where he helped to co-found the Firm’s Cambridge office and Prettys (2010 – 2012). Nick specialises in all aspects of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious, including Settlement Agreements (formerly known as Compromise Agreements). Nick is also regularly involved in Employment Tribunal claims of all kinds, senior executive terminations, redundancy and restructuring programmes and the employment aspects of business transfers. He also has a special interest in business protection matters (i.e. misuse of trade secrets and confidential information and the enforcement of post termination restrictions). Over the years, Nick has conducted many successful High Court cases dealing with such matters. Nick is a specialist advisor on GDPR, and provides companies with advice with regards to the 2018 General Data Protection Regulations, including data audits, in-house training and related employment law issues.
