Managing Partner
I presently concentrate on business management and regulatory compliance for Thomson & Bancks Solicitors. My areas of work centre around dispute resolution, employment and business law. Court cases I have handled over the past 35+ years have been many and varied, with a broad range of property, business, agricultural and commercial disputes. My advocacy experience has ranged across civil & family law, criminal prosecution and defence and cases in the Employment Tribunal for employers and employees. I am a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. I am often asked to draft company, partnership and commercial agreements and to advise employment and business clients who wish to avoid disputes and difficulties.
I graduated with an Honours Degree in Law from University of Wales (U.W.I.S.T.) in Cardiff in 1983 and after being Articled to a firm in Lincoln I was admitted as a Solicitor in 1986.
I joined the firm in 1990 and became a partner in 1994. I have served as Director of a neighbourhood charity in Tewkesbury and I taken my turn in the Chair for a variety of organisations and committees such as the Pershore Chamber of Trade, as a school governor in Woodmancote Gloucestershire and as a trustee of the Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury. I created the Pershore Plum Charmer to promote the Pershore Plum Festival and I play clarinet in occasional jazz groups, most recently with Clarinet Marmalade.
