Solicitor at Thomson & Bancks Llp

Paul Johnson

Solicitor - Managing Partner

I presently concentrate on business management and regulatory compliance for Thomson & Bancks Solicitors. My areas of work centre around dispute resolution, employment and business law. Court cases I have handled over the past 35+ years have been many and varied, with a broad range of property, business, agricultural and commercial disputes. My advocacy experience has ranged across civil & family law, criminal prosecution and defence and cases in the Employment Tribunal for employers and employees. I am a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. I am often asked to draft company, partnership and commercial agreements and to advise employment and business clients who wish to avoid disputes and difficulties. I graduated with an Honours Degree in Law from University of Wales (U.W.I.S.T.) in Cardiff in 1983 and after being Articled to a firm in Lincoln I was admitted as a Solicitor in 1986. I joined the firm in 1990 and became a partner in 1994. I have served as Director of a neighbourhood charity in Tewkesbury and I taken my turn in the Chair for a variety of organisations and committees such as the Pershore Chamber of Trade, as a school governor in Woodmancote Gloucestershire and as a trustee of the Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury. I created the Pershore Plum Charmer to promote the Pershore Plum Festival and I play clarinet in occasional jazz groups, most recently with Clarinet Marmalade.

I dealt with Paul Johnson for quite some time and I found him to be very fair and considerate with the extremely complex employment details he was presented with relating to an invisible disability.

Over time they supported me extremely well with the relevant actions & documents required at different points.

I also grew to know Wendy his secretary exceptionally well and she was a great support to me too - thank goodness for this support.

I would highly recommend Thomson & Bancks because Paul was an extremely good employment solicitor, showed sympathy but more importantly really listened to some very complex medical details which supported the whole case.
