Emily joined the firm in 1995 as secretary to the Managing Partner. His role at the time was as a general practitioner of law, which required her involvement in a wide range of cases including criminal defence, regulatory prosecutions, personal injury and conveyancing. In 2000 Emily decided to specialise in residential property transactions and moved over to the property team. She initially acted as an assistant to the head of the department, Michael Bush. In 2003 Emily became property caseworker and she now manages her own caseload of property purchases, sales, right to buy, re-mortgages, transfers of equity and deed of gifts. Whenever possible Emily likes to go ski-ing.

Brilliantly handled sale and purchase of our home

Emily Osgerby and her team have done a superb job with first the sale of our home and then a few weeks later the purchase of our new home. We were keen for this to be done incredibly quickly and it was a lot to ask but the brilliant Emily calmly and professionally did it in around 4 weeks. We are so grateful to Emily and her team and have no doubt this would not have happened in that time and without stress in any other firm. She has handled the conveyances of a number of family members and friends and without exception this level of care and service has been experienced by them all!! Amazing

Exceptional conveyance service

Instructed Henry Hyams to undertake the sale of our current property and could not have been happier with the service. With what was anticipated to be a more straightforward transaction ended up being more complex and elongated - however, both Keeley and Emily's approach never ceased, including always ensuring we were kept updated as to progress with our case.

I do not believe Keeley nor Emily could have done anything more for us!

Thank you to Emily, Keeley and the rest of the Conveyancing team who completed our purchase of a property this week. After initially instructing Henry Hyams on a different property (which fell through due to circumstances outside of either party's control), they quickly set to work on the property we have since got keys for. Despite being in an onward chain, we have gone from start to finish in 3 months which is excellent considering there was a Christmas/NY period that is always slow in the middle of it. Considering some of the costs that other firms charge, and equally some that have tried to undercut with their own prices, we have learnt through this process that it is a cost worth bearing if the firm you are working with are approachable, proactive and speak sense when you deal with them, which Henry Hyams tick those boxes. Thanks again, would recommend if a friend/family member were on the move!
