Unfortunately this solicitors caused me more stress nearly costing me the house I was buying. I had to change from the first solicitor as they missed an important document that had been sent which caused extreme upset for the people I was buying off as I was being told one thing and them another. They then threatened to pull out of me buying their house. I was then given a more senior solicitor who was OK until the day of completion where something else more important came up so she was not around for my completion. Eventually I was contacted by the estate
Agents last chance to go and get the keys as everything was done and they couldn't get hold of my legal team at elliot james. I went to get the keys and just as I was handed them my solicitor rang me and scolded me for getting the keys without telling her like I was a naughty child. I have emailed a complaint about this but have had no response. Since buying the house I have found post after sales paperwork still pending and have been contacted by the sellers to say what is not being done on several occasions. When I ask questions I get it back in big bold writing via email like I cannot see or read. Would never use this firm again appalling service. I wish I had never met the first solicitor as they have caused me and my family and the sellers and their family who have had bereavements nothing but additional stress.
