Natalie is an Associate Chartered Legal Executive in our Family Law Team. With experience across a broad spectrum of family law, she advises clients on divorce and financial matters arising from separation, cohabitation issues, disputes about children and wealth protection. She also advises on financial settlements where there are business assets or public sector pension schemes (including Armed Forces and Police pensions). When supporting clients through their separation, she provides them with the confidence to work through the process step by step, providing advice with respect to the procedures and processes involved with a compassionate and pragmatic approach, always focused on achieving the right resolution considering the unique circumstances of each client. She also helps clients to navigate through the Court process with respect to both financial issues and matters relating to children ensuring that the children’s interests are the focus of the family’s agreement. Natalie provides proactive support to clients in relation to financial planning and wealth protection, in case of a future relationship breakdown specifically around the preparation of cohabitation agreements and nuptial agreements. Examples of how Natalie has supported clients include: - Advising in matrimonial matters where the assets are in excess of £1million; - Providing pro-active advice on wealth protection by way of a cohabitation agreement where there is a dynastic family business or pre-acquired wealth; - Working with a client in relation to contested proceedings relating to children where significant allegations of domestic abuse had been made to include preparation of detailed evidence on behalf of the client and re-establishing contact between the parent and the children in question; - Supporting a number of clients in matrimonial cases where there are large public sector pension schemes; - Working with unmarried couples to ensure their interests are protected in relation to property and trust principles; and - Helping to resolve financial issues upon separation for unmarried couples.
