Emma Morter
Chartered legal Executive Homemove
My first step into the legal profession took place in 1995 within a Swindon-based firm. I became a Conveyancing Assistant in 2000, progressing to Conveyancing Executive in 2002. Having combined studies and employment, I qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2004. Since 1995 I Have worked in various firms across the area including Cirencester and Chippenham. I joined Bevirs in 2010 and was made an Associate in 2016. I am based at the firm’s Royal Wootton Bassett office. I have worked predominantly within Residential Conveyancing, but I have also spent some time working in different areas of law, such as matrimonial, litigation, probate and commercial conveyancing. This has provided me with an insight into how all areas of law can be interconnected and that knowledge of one area can develop and enhance knowledge of another area; I have found this to be of great benefit in my current role.

House Sale
I approached Bevirs to deal with my house sale as I had used them in the past and found them efficient and approachable. So when I needed a solicitor for my house sale there was no question about it but to use them again.

House sale with covenants attached
Bevirs dealt with this house sale with great professionalism. At times the other party was uncooperative and unhurried, causing much stress to the purchaser. Thankfully Bevirs dealt with each new development with swift accuracy. The house was sold at last!

Excellent service throughout
I have nothing but praise for the way Bevirs handled the administration for my Uncle's estate and the sale of his house. I was so impressed by their quickness to respond to queries by email or phone and the clarity of their responses.
Very professional and friendly and, above all, caring over a difficult period for myself. A very traditional company but using modern methods and with work ethics sadly missing with some other providers.

House sale
This was a difficult time with my mother moving into a care home, my father dying and the sale of the home in which we had grown up. Emma dealt with everything calmly and efficiently, and it all went through smoothly. It is much appreciated.
