Gracie Coleman

Trainee Solicitor

Gracie joined Wolferstans in September 2023 after completing her LLB Honours Degree at the University of Plymouth, and achieving a First-Class grade. She then went on to complete her Legal Practice Course (LPC) with Masters, achieving a Distinction in July 2024. This was alongside working within the Court of Protection part-time as a paralegal, where she has gained experience in the management of a client’s property and financial affairs and making applications to the Court of Protection. Gracie has now commenced her Training Contract with Wolferstans in the Employment and Education department, an area she is passionate in. Originally from Sussex, Gracie spent 4 years working for an expanding and competitive plumbing and heating firm as an Office Administrator and Contract Coordinator. Her experience with handling vulnerable tenants and customers’ needs, and managing major contracts, has assisted her greatly in a career in law. Gracie has always prized herself in delivering exceptional customer service to her clients, by always responding to their queries within a short timescale whilst also being aware of the necessity of managing clients’ expectations. Gracie spent her final year of university as the Events and Activities Officer for the University of Plymouth Law Society (UPLS). In this role, she organised a number of UPLS events, including networking events within the local legal community – such as ‘Cheese and Wine’ in December 2022. She also completed a work-based learning placement within the Employment Law Clinic, an invaluable pro-bono institute of the University which provides free and accessible legal advice to clients - members of the local community. Outside of work, Gracie loves days out with her nephew Freddie, walking her dogs or spending time with her partner and their friends. In Plymouth, she enjoys sea-swimming – although not throughout the winter!
