Wouldn't recommend anyone else other than Jo Gilholm
A gruelling two year court case but we won and I don't think I would of got the same result if it wasn't for Jo.
Jo was extremely professional, knowledgeable, empathetic and understanding and is very person centred from the get go. Jo is very thorough and did go above and beyond. You can tell she is very passionate about her job and she is very honest with you which is great because it shows she has your best interest at heart and at the same time has your back and wants to help fight your battle.
From being consistent with her emails there was never a delay and she was not difficult to reach and if I was unable to reach her she would get straight back to me, selecting the best and right barrister for me for my case, organising special measures in place for the court hearings and double checking with the courts also a few days before to ease my anxieties, fine tuning everything such as all statements and there were no delays in getting anything in on time for court. She really had taken the time in knowing what is best suited for her clients and is very thorough.
It was a very difficult and traumatic two year experience going through courts and my whole life was put in Jo's and my barristers hands and without their excellence supporting me I would of not got the same outcome as I did thanks to them.
From a meak vulnerable frightened woman I was two years ago walking into my first appointment to Jo, I have grown into a strong, aware and confident woman thanks to Jo's support and by telling my truth and it being heard by all had the right outcome overall.
I can't thank you enough.

Extremely helpful
Navigating the complexities of marital separation can be daunting, which is why I sought professional advice before broaching the subject with my spouse. Fortunately, I found a service offering free initial consultations over the phone, which proved to be a pivotal resource in my decision-making process. During the call, the advisor was not only empathetic but also highly knowledgeable, providing clear, actionable advice tailored to my situation.
The guidance I received was straightforward and easy to comprehend, which was exactly what I needed during such an overwhelming time. The advisor helped me understand the legal framework of divorce and briefly outlined the potential financial implications. This information was crucial in helping me formulate a strategy that would be fair and equitable for both parties involved.
Overall, the free phone consultation was invaluable. It equipped me with the confidence and clarity needed to discuss the future with my husband and to pursue a path that considers the well-being of both of us. For anyone standing at this difficult crossroad, I highly recommend seeking similar expert advice to better understand your options and rights. This service has certainly been helpful to me.

Friendly and Informative
Jo and her receptionist Debbie were both extremely polite and friendly, and that really helped me as I was anxious about seeking advice as it all seems so formal and daunting.
Jo gave me confidence in my decisions and broken-down how I needed to apply for a divorce through the government website (which was making me extremely anxious). I felt reassured and was able to apply for help with my fees thanks to her recommendation, and that has helped me significantly!
