Sean is one of the founding partners of MSB and over many years led our team of talented lawyers. Sean has over 35 years of experience in all facets of criminal law. He can lay claim to being the original “loophole lawyer”, after discovering a loophole in drink driving legislation in 1992 which led to a number of national newspapers giving him the label. Sean has represented numerous clients in high profile cases. He was instructed by James Bulger’s parents in 1993 and has represented James’ mother to date, throughout the numerous appeals and Parole Board hearings on a pro bono basis. In consequence, he is one of the few Solicitors who has personally addressed the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg as an advocate. Sean has defended in some of the most complex fraud cases in recent years, he is a qualified Solicitor-Advocate (Higher Courts Criminal Proceedings) and a Supervisor on the Specialist Fraud Panel.
