Simply excellent advice and representation in difficult circumstances
I instructed Maguire Family Law to represent myself my children's matter. They came recommended by a solicitor friend of mine. It quickly became quite a contentious and difficult case dealing with a forever changing landscape from the other side.
Olivia Barry provided robust and stern advice for me to digest as we traversed this personally uncharted path. It was sometimes difficult to hear advice through the prism of third parties dealing with my personal life, but I was happy with how the firm dealt with me and their attitude towards my case with sympathy and understanding whilst also having the experience to guide me where I was faltering. There were times that Olivia was also working until Mid night before a hearing, and sending me updates for the same. Very good service with an eye for her clients.
It was a somewhat problematic case as we started as respondent and certainly on the back foot, but with her actions, the office' quick response to my contact and the overall strength of our position, we successfully concluded the children's matter before the need for a final hearing. We obtained everything I had wished for at the start of this journey and am very satisfied as per the professionalism and detail in which my case was handled by Olivia and the team at Maguire Family Law.
My counsel was suggested by Olivia and the team at Maguire Family Law which I clearly I took their advice. Sarah Kilvington and Graeme Bailey of 9SJS - and both were simply excellent.
It is worthy to note one of our hearings, we had another Barrister cancel with COVID two hours before the hearing. I requested we proceed in any event and Olivia herself stood in for our Barrister with the courts permission. Again she was professional and effective, obtaining the outcome we desired.
Maguire Family Law were recommended to me by a friend and I would absolutely offer the same recommendation to others. As my case was complicated, it was costly, but their advice was worth every single penny that went into it.
They provided me with cost analysis monthly and as the case was ongoing, the expected costs to the end.
I would definitely use Maguire Family Law for my future Divorces.... Assuming I get a discount for repeat custom.

Friendly, comprehensive and clear advice
I found Olivia to be extremely easy to chat with and understand. She gave very comprehensive and clear advice and was quite happy to further explain where issues were more complex. I cannot fault her at all and the follow up email detailing everything that we had discussed was extremely valuable as I could not have retained everything covered in the hour appointment. I would highly recommend.

Divorce case
In challenging personal circumstances I was treated with the upmost respect and sensitivity by Olivia and James. The advice was sound, clear and pragmatic and I was always fully briefed on my options and the risks and implications of actions.
Olivia and James were always super friendly and welcoming and my well being was at the forefront at all times.
Very happy with the service I received and would recommend Maguire's and use myself again in the future if necessary

We will take your point on board about the email correspondence. As a firm we never charge for incoming post from the other party and we are very mindful of costs generally. Family work is often so bespoke and detailed that applying a cap is difficult. We do encourage clients to put all points in one email to help to reduce these issues. Divorce - James & Olivia
James and Olivia are both very pleasant to deal with and both provided a much-needed calm approach and were very clear at all times. Work was always done quickly and to a high standard. Fees were explained clearly and they kept me updated on total ongoing fees paid and further fee expectations. I would definitely recommend them both.

Marital advice
I was introduced to the firm via a Solicitor who was dealing with my conveyancy when buying a new property due ongoing marital issues.
