Would recommend and happily use again.
After a collapsed first sale it took a long time to reach completion with another buyer but despite this we were well looked after by Martin Tolhurst and Abdul especially over a period of over a year. Communication was frequent and smooth and any questions received a prompt reply. We would happily use Martin Tolhurst again. Many thanks to Abdul, Christine and Josh for their help throughout.

House Sale/House Purchase
Many thanks to Abdul & his team who dealt with the sale and purchase of our properties, which was not without issues, but we found the partnership to be professional and responsive in dealing with the process in a timely manner.

Customer Service. What Customer Service??
The ability of Abdul Mutallib at Martin Tolhurst Solicitors is beyond awful. I paid my fee upfront £550 (paid November last year) for conveyancing. Now I have a serious buyer who is pushing for closure after the first sale fell through in March. I have rung five times this week to ask if he could return my call. I have even emailed him. On top of which very time you call, you speak to one of the well spoken receptionist, who seem to be stapled to their chairs unable to say anything else but "I can pass on a message". Do they come from Stepford? I also left a message for Richard Carter the MD. I was warned I would to be unlikely to get past his PA and less than likely for him to respond. I was reluctant to pay upfront, but was told how they operate. Feels like I have been properly MUGGED.

A moving experience
A tricky moving house process ( selling, buying, one sale falling through, probate delays) was handled professionally and in a timely manner. The fees were reasonable and all the people we dealt with were friendly and efficient.

Swift and professional service
Used Martin Tolhurst for purchasing a property. The experience is positive. They are swift and thorough in the searches. They have been keeping me in the loop on progress and got a transparent fee structure. They even have a policy that if the sale falls through, you won't be charged the bulk of the fee (I nearly used that but fortunately needn't ultimately).
I have used other solicitors before for conveyancing and the service had been disappointing. From experience a responsible, responsive and swift lawyer makes a lot of difference! I would strongly recommend Martin Tolhurst - Abdul and his collagues have been amazing.

amazing service received
Buying a house comes with a lot of stress. However, Abdul and his team made the process of buying our home go smoothly. They have been incredibly helpful and responsive, guiding us through every step of the legal process. Their expertise and attention to detail gave us peace of mind. Excellent service
A big thank you to all the team at Martin Tolhurst . Abdul , Mollie and Heather made my house purchase an extremely quick , easy and seamless experience .
