My personal injury claim
Last year I badly injured my left foot when I fell from a headland adjacent to the North Wales coastal path, sustaining multiple fractures requiring major surgery. The fall was triggered by being chased by a bull and herd of male cattle causing me to step backwards in terror. I initially wasn't going to make any legal claim, optimistically believing I had only sustained a severe sprain. It soon became apparent that it was far worse and was going to have a severe impact on my life. On that basis I decided, for the first time ever, to consider making a personal injury claim and after researching law firms in my area, chose to go to Lanyon Bowdler in Shropshire. Ms Jo Kneller, a solicitor at the firm, agreed to take on my claim and from the outset I was very pleased how she handled it – in a very courteous, friendly manner and always willing to explain the procedures and options open to me. We agreed to go forward on a conditional fee basis and everything was explained, with written material sent me by email and through the post - including what potentially wouldn’t be covered by the agreement. Crucially I felt, at every stage, like she was balancing the need to give me guidance and advice with allowing me as the client the ability to make decisions and choose what was in my best interests. I always felt like she was putting me first. That to me demonstrated a high degree of integrity and I felt complete trust in her. I also felt that her approach with the defendant insurers was excellent and, despite their efforts to avoid liability, and mistakes and intransigence by the police and local council which added to the complexity of the case, she achieved a satisfactory outcome which avoided the need to go to court. Jo is a credit to her firm and the legal profession.

Personal Injury Claim
