I have extensive experience in advising clients on a variety of employment issues, and I have worked at two major City law firms since qualifying in 2013, prior to joining Lionshead Law. I advise companies and individuals on all aspects of the employment relationship. During the life of the employment relationship, I assist with the drafting and negotiation of the employment documentation, assisting with disciplinary and grievance procedures, redundancy exercises, flexible working requests, health and safety issues, unlawful discrimination issues, issues surrounding maternity and other periods of leave, and negotiating an employee’s departure. I assist employers with ensuring they have the correct, up to date documentation in place to reduce risk. This includes advising on the key employment documentation, (and importantly, the enforceability and applicability of employee restrictions), and keeping all employee policies up-to-date. I advise clients throughout the employment tribunal process and in negotiating settlements. I have also conducted a number of investigations into employee misconduct, and can assist any employee who has concerns with suspected wrongdoings within a company. At a time when the world of work is changing, I advise clients on being engaged or engaging individuals on a non-traditional basis, including flexible working arrangements, home working provisions, zero hour contracts, and self-employed contractor / consultancy agreements. Each case is different, and I make a conscious effort to gain a deep understanding of the employment issues at hand to achieve my client’s desired outcome. I understand the importance of providing a quick response, and am happy to use all means of communication to build strong and ongoing relationships with my clients. When I am not working, you will find me on the tennis court, running, playing the violin in my quartet, or chasing after my three young children!
