Graduate Trainee Solicitor

Benedicte joined the SWLaw team in Autumn 2022 as a trainee solicitor, having graduated with a Law Degree (Hons) from the Open University. She is enjoying putting her academic knowledge to the test in the real world, with a view to qualifying as a solicitor in the not-too-distant future. Benedicte is Norwegian by birth but undertook her legal studies in English, her second language. This was despite the “very thick [study] books”. Prior to pursuing her interest in the legal sector, Benedicte held a wide range of interesting roles; including breaking in mustangs on a working cattle ranch in America. She has a passion for music which is evidenced by her music and theology studies at college, and which is encouraged by her father, a renowned pianist. Benedicte describes her childhood home as “filled with music”. In addition, Benedicte enjoys the outdoors; especially swimming, running and taking her cocker spaniel Ben for a walk on Bodmin Moor. She also supports her son, a keen swimmer, by frequently attending galas and acting as a swim judge during the competition season.
