Champions of employment law justice
I’d like to express my sincerest gratitude to Robin Williams and Christopher Newton of rwLaw for the tremendous help that they have provided to my business. They have relieved me of an enormous burden of stress and allowed me to focus on what I do: the retail of luxury watches, a business that I have been running for over 20 years.
By way of background, I contacted Robin to ask her advice in relation to serious employee misconduct. We followed a disciplinary process, including an appeal, and we ultimately dismissed the employee for gross misconduct. Throughout the process, Robin provided fantastic, clear advice, and she did a wonderful job at providing me with reassurance at a time when I was fearful of the consequences for my business.
The former employee in question then filed a completely unfounded Employment Tribunal claim for unfair dismissal and wrongful dismissal. This was the first time that my business had ever faced any employment tribunal claim. It was then that Christopher Newton stepped in to the frame to help us, and I am very glad indeed that he did.
Christopher Newton drafted the Grounds of Resistance. Chris was absolutely impeccable. He spent many hours with me on the telephone forensically discussing all relevant details, exploring every potentially relevant avenue of enquiry, and we ended up with an extremely powerful document setting out our defence. Chris worded things in such a clear, persuasive way that it should have been obviously apparent to anyone reading the document that we were in the right and the employee was in the wrong, and that the employee’s claim was entirely without merit.
Later during the Tribunal proceedings, after the former employee Claimant had failed to provide his Schedule of Loss to us within the stipulated deadline, Chris sent some robust correspondence to the Claimant’s lawyer. Not long thereafter, we were notified that the Claimant had decided that he wished to withdraw his claim. This was a fantastic victory for us.
Chris has a truly impressive grasp of the technical intricacies of employment tribunal litigation and strategy. He is also an absolute delight to work with, and has a firm sense of justice and integrity.
Robin is absolutely fantastic, and provided me with an invaluable sense of reassurance, setting me at ease, which is exactly what you need from a great lawyer.
I’m sure I would not have received this service and personal touch from a large law firm (even though a large law firm would have no doubt charged me far more).
Robin and Chris: I feel that you are my business’s new best friends, and I will recommend you to anyone who needs employment lawyers to deal with difficult situations.
Thank you both so much!

Exceeded expectations
Chris Newton at RW Law did a brilliant job with my settlement. He had a very professional attitude but also a sense of humour. It was a pleasure dealing with him and he went above and beyond the call of duty working late to make sure my responses were sent in the timescales required. My settlement was what I wanted and reached swiftly out of court. I would not hesitate in recommending Chris and RW Law.

Employment Tribunal Support
Chris helped us deal with an unfortunate situation arising from the misconduct of a former staff member that resulted in a claim for unfair dismissal. Having never found ourselves in this situation before we looked to rwLaw Limited to help us fight the claim and bring it to an early close.
Chris was professional and thorough throughout and we feel went above and beyond to exceed our total expectations. Chris treated us as if we were his only client giving 100% attention throughout the whole horrid situation and quickly brought it to a close for us.
We would highly recommend rwLaw Limited.
