Not Guilty verdict at Crown Court - Identification evidence successful
I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to Andy Rootsey after the Not Guilty verdicts were entered against me today at my Trial. I faced a charge of GBH and maintained from the beginning that I was not responsible. Although I was picked out on an ID parade, Andy challenged the fairness of the parade and legal submissions were put before the Trial Judge. Today we finally vindicated and I was formally acquitted as a result of the hard work and perseverance of Andy and the team.

Not guilty verdicts in case at the crown court

Successful application for wasted costs order against the CPS
I recently received a substantial sum from the Prosecution, reimbursing me for the legal fees I paid to defend myself in this case. Thanks to Andy Rootsey’s efforts, my case was rightfully dropped before the Trial. Following this Andy applied to the Court for my costs to be paid by the CPS for a wasted costs order, given the unfair way in which they continued with the case against me. This was successful, with the Court granting the application. If you are seeking fairness and justice, I would highly recommend Andy and Murray Hughman solicitors.

Hats off to Andy for excellent Crown Court result....
Andy Rootsey has worked on our family's behalf previously and we've always been really impressed by his professional but human & empathetic approach, and not least of all by his ultra-responsiveness and ability to make matters clear to the layman.
On this occasion he excelled himself with not only the above qualities but by an inspired choice of barrister (Ella Eleanor Lucas) to handle the case and an ultra-clear briefing which led to 2 out of 3 charges being dropped and sentence for the third charge (guilty plea) reduced to the very minimum possible.

Pre-Charge Advice and Engagement success
I faced a false allegation of r*pe and approached Andy Rootsey to represent me, having felt that my previous solicitors had advised me poorly at the Police Station. With Andy’s assistance, we were able to systematically pull together strong defence evidence that proved my innocence, and which resulted in the case being dropped and no further action being taken against me at an early stage in the investigation. Although it was a hellish experience, Andy done very well in keeping me calm, level-headed and positive during it all.
