Legal Assistant

Philippa co founded The Legal Partners in 2004, and is the firm’s Marketing Director. She is closely involved in client care and growing and developing the firm and The Legal Partners team. Having completed with distinction The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) L3 Subject Certificate in Employment Law and Practice in 2017, Philippa advises business and HR clients on a range of HR issues including Employment Contracts and Staff Handbooks. She has a particular interest in the employment status of workers, the changing nature of work and the trends in ET claims. She presents the latest thinking and findings on these topics at The Legal Partners HR seminars. Philippa also supports colleagues in delivering Employment Law and Settlement Agreement advice to employers and employee clients. She is Data Privacy Manager at The Legal Partners and presents on the HR Data aspects of GDPR. Philippa speaks fluent French and Spanish. Before joining The Legal Partners, she built a career of over 25 years in Marketing and Communications, working in international brand management roles for French firms L’Oreal and paper manufacturer Arjo Wiggins, moving on to Communications roles at The Association of MBAs, RAC and Kingston University’s Faculty of Art, Design and Music. She continues to be involved in design education and remains keenly interested in fostering creativity and creative thinking skills for people and for business.
