I have been asked to endorse the service I received when I consulted Dan Billson at Prettys of Ipswich recently. I am pleased to do so. I needed advice relating to company law concerning to my involvement as a director and shareholder of two family businesses. I had already asked my local solicitors, who have served me well in the past. They declined to help me with this matter as it was outside their area of expertise. Knowledgeable and patient
During 2018 we took the decision to restructure our business such that we could become an employee owned company, a form of business organisation that we believe suits our sector – engineering and technical consultancy – and our long term aims - to be the ‘go to’ place for technically excellent and innovative solutions in the electricity supply industry. This can only happen if we can attract and retain the best engineering people, and make them central to our business. Extending the ownership of the company such that those staff who have worked with us for some time can become shareholders is key. Dan Bilson at Prettys was central to helping us realise our ambition. Knowledgeable and patient, he coped well with what must have seemed endless naïve questions, steered us through the restructuring process, and ensured that the outcome was properly documented and registered. We have no hesitation in recommending Dan to other companies who may be at the start of such a restructuring journey.
