Lydia also has experience in dealing with highly sensitive and complex children matters involving parental alienation, physical and emotional domestic violence, alcohol, and drug abuse. She is also practiced in leave to remove (both domestic and international) and child abduction proceedings. Lydia qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2011, after which she worked in the City as a private client solicitor assisting both domiciled and non-domiciled individuals on wealth management, taxation, wills, trusts and probate. In 2016, Lydia relocated to Hong Kong where she worked as a matrimonial solicitor covering all areas of private family law and working with individuals from around the globe. Lydia qualified as a solicitor of the Hong Kong SAR High Court in 2011, and completed her training (basic and advanced) as a Family Mediator with the Hong Kong Mediation Association. Adding to her international outreach, Lydia lived and worked in Italy for several years and has been called upon to use her bilingual skills for client work.
