I am a Conveyancing Executive working in the Residential Property team in Blanchards Bailey’s Poundbury office. I have previously worked in the conveyancing departments of both regional and national law firms, which has developed my extensive experience in handling sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity. Most recently I have worked in South Somerset and live in Weymouth so have a good knowledge of the local area. While I am still completing my Fellowship for CILEx, I do have a LLB Law Degree and I am a Graduate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives having completed the Level 6 CILEx qualifications in Client Care, Conveyancing Practice and Probate Practice. For the last 6 years I have specialised in Residential conveyancing transactions e.g. freehold/leasehold (including shared ownership) sales and purchases, new build purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.

Selling and buying a house
We had a very challenging house sale losing three buyers but securing a sale with the fourth and thankfully final purchasers. We moved out into a flat so as not to lose our buyers and it worked out well. We have now been in our new home nearly two years and will never forget the support that Luke proved us in an extremely kind and professional way.

The only time we didn’t speak directly with Luke when we rang was when he was at lunch, in a meeting or taking a well earned days holiday!

Such a good experience!
We bought a property in Dorchester, but live in South Africa. This made the entire process a lot more complicated. We’re just thankful that we had Luke Roper guiding us through something that very unfamiliar to us. But Luke was so professional, patient and proactive. Great communication, prompt responses, constant updates, and just such a smooth transaction in the end. I’d recommend using Luke without any hesitation. A wonderful experience.

Such a good experience!
