House sale
Great service from start to finish from Ruth Hayward and Giovanni Lanza at MHHP. They made the sale of my late father's flat very easy.

First class, professional and approachable
I originally contacted MHHP Law LLP after I had questions about inheritance tax following my mother’s death, especially because of the value of her house. While filling in the tax forms, I had phoned HM Revenue and Customs to ask if I was eligible for a reduction because of my late father’s allowance. I was told I was not because he had not left a will. But after I had continued and paid the tax it came to my attention how much difference that allowance would make. It was time for a second opinion. When I arranged a consultation with Ruth Haywood, although she said she would have to check some details, she thought that in principle I should be eligible. Hence, I commissioned her to approach the inheritance tax people for a ‘correction’ on my behalf. Over and above making the case to the tax people, Ruth asked me for extra documentation and looked up house price figures for the period when my father died in order to craft a letter that would be persuasive (my evaluation, not her words). It was successful and I got a rebate of many tens of thousands of pounds, for which I am, obviously, grateful. I must say, not only was Ruth very professional but also very approachable, explaining all my various questions about the processes. She put me at ease at a time I was worried that I had lost a lot of money through my decision when filling in the tax forms (based on HM advice) and so I would recommend her and the company.

Probate & House Sale Legal Representation
Having been introduced to MHHP Law by a friend of my late mothers, initially to draw up a Power of Attorney, I made contact with Ruth following my mother's demise to instruct them to undertake all the legal matters regarding Probate and the legal conveyancing of the house sale. I have found Ruth and Giovanni to be very supportive during this very difficult 8 month period.
They are very prompt to reply to all enquiries either by email or over the phone, from both myself and the Estate agents dealing with the house sale. I highly recommend using MHHP Law and would definitely use them again. I could not fault their support at all, clear pricing, friendly and approachable and knowledgable in their legal advice.

The sale of our house
We had an offer on our house on February 7th and it was sold on April 5th. Ruth and Giovanni were amazing. They worked very hard to sell our property quickly.

Probate
MHHP carried out the probate for my parents estate. They were incredibly efficient and thoroughly professional. The whole process was transacted very smoothly and quickly and I would have no hesitation in recommending this firm. Oh and it was done at a really attractive fee. f
