Barbara joined us in March 2017 with over 20 years of experience in court work. She studied Law at Aberdeen then went on to train at Stronachs in the city, but has been working in Dunfermline and the surrounding area since 2003. Barbara is highly reliable, hard-working and friendly and specialises in court work – in particular, Family Law for private and legally aided clients. Her resolve, coupled with her caring nature, fit perfectly with this specialism to advise individuals and families on the best way forward in what can sometimes be upsetting, traumatic and difficult circumstances. She deals with various matters such as Pre-nuptial and Cohabitation Agreements, Financial Settlements for spouses and also Separation & Divorce. She also offers advice on Adoptions and Permanency Orders and Children’s Hearings along with Guardianships and Powers of Attorney. Barbara is a former Dean of the Dunfermline Faculty of Solicitors. Barbara keeps herself very busy when she has free time! Not only does she play the sax in a jazz band, but she also plays the flute in a concert band and orchestra. She loves cooking, gardening, reading and going to the theatre, spending as much time doing these things as time allows. Some of her favourite destinations have been the USA and Australia…and the continent where she’s tried to brush up on her very rusty Spanish and German!!
