Working closely with both individuals and businesses, Mark deals with a wide range of Residential Property matters including sales, purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity. He can also help local developers when acquiring sites and selling the individual units. Mark is also regularly involved in commercial and agricultural property transactions.
Mark knows just how important communication is when dealing with what is typically the largest transaction of many people’s lives. Making himself available and ensuring he keeps his clients up-to-date throughout the process, using simple language and solid advice Mark has been described as “amiable and a highly professional individual”.
Mark is recognised nationally and locally for both his engagement with clients in their transactions and his efforts in establishing and developing growth of the firm. He won the Rising Star award at Devon and Somerset Law Society awards in April 2019 after also winning Young Lawyer of the Year at the national LawNet awards in November 2018.
Mark heads up the residential property team in Newton Abbot and is a partner having trained with the firm, before qualifying as a solicitor in 2016. As head of the Newton Abbot Property Team, Mark maintains a strong local profile in the professional marketplace, benefitting the transactions he works on where he has robust working relationships with Estate Agents and other lawyers. He also supervises a team of conveyancing lawyers which provides him with a broad view of the local property market.

The Tozers team are a breath of fresh air. We have been using Mark and the team, originally using Vernon many many years ago, for a long time now and we wouldn't go anywhere else for buying and selling property. They work so hard and we never have to worry that things are progressing from their end.

Best I’ve ever used
I wanted to use a local company for my move this time. My last three moves I used the cheapest online. Mark came recommended and he was excellent throughout. It was handy being able to drop paperwork and get signatures into the office. We had issues with the sellers solicitors but Mark handled it excellently.

I cannot speak too highly about the service we received from Mark, Sarah and Emma at the Newton Abbot office. From the very first meeting we felt comfortable with the information and help we received. They guided us through a difficult period when the vendor's solicitor was holding things up and always kept us fully informed. Our house move would have been far more stressful without their help. We have already recommended them to others.

This is the Third time I have used Tozer’s and I wouldn’t ever look for a different company again. I had a very stress free journey from start to finish when purchasing a recent property, it was completely promptly and I was always informed regularly with updates on how everything was progressing. Would definitely use again and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a solicitor!

Very Professional and a pleasure to work with
We used Mark Meleady at Newton Abbot Office. He was welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. He explained everything to us in simple terms and made sure the work was undertaken in a timely and efficient manner. I cannot fault Tozers from start to finish. Mark and his colleagues helped us every step of the way with purchasing our new home. They were super on it in regards to communication and always kept in the loop. Even our estate agent loved out solicitors and wished all solicitors worked like ours! 11/10 stars for Tozers and will certainly be using them again as our solicitors in the future. We had a lot of faith in Tozers to deliver when it came to the conveyancing on our new house and selling of the old house and they delivered. Mark Meleady was always professional responsive and made the options and next steps clear to us every step of the way. We had poor experiences in solicitors before for property transactions and we were so happy we went with Tozers for this purchase.
