My redundancy settlement

Professional Employment Service by Carina for Settlement Negotiations.

An unwanted but brilliant experience.
I recently had cause to appointment a Solicitor in an unwanted and unexpected work related situation I’d found myself in through no fault of my own.
Whilst I’m not notoriously emotional where work is concerned, I’ve found my situation to be both extremely sad and infuriating in equal measure.
I appreciate that the world of law can be a very black and white one and in many cases, a place where emotions or even the interests of a human being don’t always seem to count the way a layperson such as myself might feel they should.
However, I got lucky. Corina Jheeta has been my Solicitor throughout this brief but daunting process and frankly, I could not have wanted anything more or needed anyone else. Of course, Corina ticked all the lawful boxes and processes in the way I knew she would but more than that, she has been incredibly supportive empathic and appreciative of my plight from a personal perspective throughout. This mattered greatly. I didn’t know I’d feel this upset and I probably needed more support than I cared to admit, but without asking, Corina was there to help steer me through the turbulence.
My 34 years at a firm I love being a part of draws to an end (unfairly too, the b******!!) yet, I will not forget many of the people who mattered as this end draws closer. Corina is one of those people too. Big thanks. She’s a rock of an asset. And Sydney Mitchell will be my first port of call should I need such services in future because of her.

Very professional and quick
I had to find solicitors for a case at my work place, and I called Sydney Mitchel and everything went very smooth and quick. Moreover the solicitor who handled my case Carina, was exceptional. She took the time to understand my side of the story, and managed to negotiate a better settlement for me. I would recommend her and the firm anytime.

Advice on a claim for discrimination
Carina was approachable, very prompt with communication, gave me sound advice and seemed to have a good grasp of legal matters which helped instil my faith in her. The case was around intersectionality coming into play in the work scenario (not just race discrimination) and it may be helpful for the firm and Counsel who advised me to know about a more recent verdict on a similar case (Michelle Cox vs. NHS https://www.gov.uk/employment-tribunal-decisions/ms-a-cox-v-nhs-commissioning-board-operating-as-nhs-england-slash-nhs-improvement-2415350-slash-2020-and-2401365-slash-2021 ) so that future cases like mine could be helped.

Settlement agreement
Carina has been outstanding. Made the process as easy as it could be, and made me feel at ease and listened to. She helped to put words on paper that were much better than words that I was trying to find. She was always hitting deadline and communicated updates to me well!
